Basically, I agree with your opinion. However, I guess, many
implementers including me consider DAVIC 1.x is a reasonable profile
(or subset) of MHEG-5 even though it has several holes (i.e. absolute
color specification method is missing). As far as I remember, the
former activity of MHEG-5 Verification Group depended on DAVIC 1.0.
Of course, if you have any other good applications, like, say,
Internet MHEG-5 Profile, that would be great interesting for the
discussion in MUG. However, if the profile just you're taking about
is only for the purpose of testing MHEG-5 in MUG, I guess, we should
take DAVIC 1.0 for our testing profile.
What applications do you have in your mind?
