In Japanese experiment project, lots of such specifications are
considered. They also include file name extensions, palette data
format, default palette, etc.

I personally like an international profile approach, but discussions
in WG12 have not gone along with it.

If we agree to go ahead, it is possible to present the Japanese
specifications, though it will take some time for translation.

I would also like to point out that VoD is not an only
application. MHEG can be used for CD-ROM titles, stand alone kiosks,
medical applications, and so on. Those profiles may differ from the
DAVIC profile.
