Folks,

there are indeed some SNACC News, which I want to share with you.
The main message is, that we (GMD FOKUS) who have maintained SNACC, have
been asked to allow improvements by another european company which deals
with airplane security software (yes, you will rely on SNACC next time
in the air :-). Since we did not do any modification in the last months
we are going to make a final GMD release soon. After this we will pass
the code to this company (details follow) for further improvements. Of
course, SNACC remains free software, and we will mirror the latest
developments at MUGs WWW site.

My answers are:
a) yes. DER is a subset of BER (as far as I know)
b) I believe NO. But this needs verification
c) In case of b:NO -> YES, but this is not existing yet.
In case of b:YES -> No, obviously :-)

To say the truth, these answers are not for full satisfaction.
But thats all I can contribute. There are other experts out there,
right?

- Klaus
