Dear Colleagues,

I want to draw your attention to the second DAVIC CFP on resident
Programs for MHEG-5. You find it here:
http://www/ovma/mug/archives.html#doc

This call aims on SI information access via Resident Programs. The
earlier call did include that as well, but it seems to be, that there
was no sufficient response (actually, there have been three official
answers, which are in the MUGs archives. The answer from FT said to this
issue: "be compatible to Java API", the DT answer made a concrete, but
just too simple (?) proposal).

Anyway, I'd like offer interested parties to harmonize the approaches
via the MUG. At GMD FOKUS/Deutsche Telekom Berkom we have developed an
EPG using actual SI information, so there is some expertise. As far as I
know, the DAVIC Java API AdHoc Group is going to meet in the next week
on this issue as well (at Philips in UK). So there might be some input
available. If there are other drafts or final answers, I would like to
mount these on the MUGs WWW server for discussion.

BTW, if it happens to you to be in Paris this week, you have just
another chance to see the IFA MHEG-5 demo at Networld&Interop97
(http://www.interop.tm.fr/ ). It is shown at the booth of Deutsche
Telekom, and a colleague of mine (Christian Gran) is there to answer the
questions and to run the show.

- Klaus
