IMPORTANT NOTES ON ONLINE DOCUMENTATION and IRC
We intend to try something new in order to let the external experts
participate to some extend. For that we want to try to produce some
intermediate results document and to post that at the WWW site. External
experts can then comment on that to the MUGs maillist. If time permits,
we will take that input into account. Please keep a look at the MTF WWW
site.
We also have scheduled two preliminary IRC chats dates, one on Thursday
starting at 17:00 and one on Friday 9:00 morning (ALL times in MET).
We try to equip all participants of the meeting with IRC clients and PC
with Internet connections. So, it is possible to debate intermediate
results. The MTF group might as well ask for help in some cases.
External Experts are encouraged to join the IRC at
irc.fu-berlin.de, port 6667 (IRCNet: EU,DE,Berlin)
Please join the channel #mtf
I would recommend to visit that server, since I am not sure
how the channel is exported to other IRC nodes.
A reminder mail will be send to the MUG just before the chat starts.
A collection of popular clients for Win95 is the following:
http://www.windows95.com/apps/chat-text.html
So, dont miss that opportunity! At least, you can see who is there and
who is not there...
We will see how that evolves. I am quite courious. Next time we will try
to arrange for an M-Bone session!
IMPORTANT for participants: If possible bring your Laptop with you, AND
AN ETHERNET ADAPTER for TP or ThinWire. Otherwise, we may not have HW
for every one. You are required to configure TCP/IP for that purpose on
your Laptop (no problem for experts...).
So long,
- Klaus
