We have just finshed the MTF meeting: I would call it successful and
very cooperative. Thanks for that to the attendees!
The document will be refined in the wording a bit before I pass it the
Tom Casey. The preliminary MHEG numbner is 1074. The other document with
an official number is 1073, which is also on the WWW.

It is hard to give a summary now as we are al a bit exhaused. So, please
wait for early next week.
The intended procedure is
* to collect opinions on the MTF doc 1074,
* to collect new issues,
* to initiate discussion on the unresolved issues,
* to collect the "homework" from some MTF folks, and
* to prepare the MTF WD for the Finnland meeting.
Please note, the result from today and from Finnland might have quite
some impact, since even if it is not the final word from ISO (since
there is that WD,CD,.. procedure) there is the launch of MHEG based
services in UK, which will probably adopt an early version of the MTF
results. Some of the clarification we have achieved enable better
integration to DVB environments, which was a prominent issue at the
meeting. Actually, we did not change something there, but we removed
ambiguities. In this sense, the participants are quite satisfied with
the results.
I also want to thank those of you from Japan, France, Finnland, Germany
and UK who have had the patience to join us for some time via IRC.
To say the truth, this experiment was not fully satisfying, due to lag
and time pressure. But it was nice for us to see that there is some
interest from the outside. A log of that session is also at the MTF site
(not so much interesing, I fear).
