This is only a note, it is for extra informational purposes and is not mandatory!!

This should be implemented by an engine which conforms to a profile using DSM-CC for the StreamEvent mechanism!
>>How can the MHEG-5 applications use the DSM_Event interfaces to process

The engine has to extract the EventList sent by the server and has to subscribe to a specific event such as the "MHEG-5Event". When the event is found in the stream the engine will be sent the event via the notification interface of the DSM-CC UU API.
Hope the helps,

Subject: [Q] StreamEvent
It is my inclination to say that this is an issue that needs to be resolved
by some group like Davic or in the Application Domain Definition for a
specific profile. Do we need to revisit this aspect of the mappings between
MHEG and the DSMCC stuff and resolve this question unequivocally?
What are the views of the UG on this?
