The currently active Application object is the source of EngineEvent.
events.

What is the event source for an engine event?
Is it the current application (eg ("~/startup" 0)) or
the current scene ( eventsource 0).
Really it is neither - it is the engine itself but the link needs a
valid eventsource to work so one must be provided.
