Although large-scale broadcasting of MHEG-5 applications
is under way in the UK and a number of other countries, the
offer of earnest professional training on MHEG-5 is nonexistent,
so that professionals who need to master MHEG-5 have no choice
but spend many weeks of information research and trial-and-error
practice to unveil the arcanes of MHEG-5 technology.
To make up for this, the MHEG Centre has been working
hard with its team of MHEG-5 experts gathering experience of
MHEG-5 standardisation, development, set-top-box integration
and application authoring. Our objective is to provide in-depth
technical training so that application designers, software developers
system architects and technical managers be efficient and
operational immediately.
The result is a unique training event "MHEG-5 applications
development".
The event is split into two consecutive, complementary courses,
so that you may elect to attend either or both depending on your
interests and knowledge.
Part One (25-26 Jan.) will introduce the context and tour the
MHEG-5 standard features, giving in-depth knowledge and
a practical understanding of MHEG-5.
Part Two (27-29 Jan.) will train to authoring MHEG-5 applications
in the Macromedia Director environment using MHEGDitor.
During both parts, tutorial presentations are interspersed with
many case studies and lab sessions for efficient skill acquisition.
The number of places available is limited to ensure fruitful
monitoring of lab exercises.
Part One should be a must to all who plan to be involved with
MHEG-5, while Part Two is especially targeted at MHEG-5
application developers.
Though Part One is not a pre-requisite to Part Two, attending
both parts is recommended to everyone aiming to become
a complete MHEG-5 developer.
Attractive pricing packages - from 700£/1KECU/1,200$
(VAT excluded) for Part One to twice this amount for the
full course are proposed to those registering before 8 January,
with additional trainees after the first getting a further 40% discount.
The course will take place at CCETT (France Telecom R&D
centre which led MHEG standardisation) in Rennes, a beautiful
medium-sized city within one hour of Paris,
1.5 hours from London, 2 hours from Brussels or Geneva.
